MAD MAGAZINE'S LIZZIE THE WONDER DOG |
Over the years MAD magazine has skewered numerous movies, television series, personalities, politicians, fads, and every other facet of American life, so it was no surprise that around 1960 they tackled Lassie. (I'm not sure of the copyright date because my copy came from The MAD Sampler. It's certainly 1958-1960 because Uncle Petrie appears and also because the Lassie drawn is clearly "Spook.")
"Lizzie the Wonder Dog" is the property of MAD magazine. I am reprinting it solely because I thought Lassie fans would enjoy it and also because it's long out of print. If the MAD folks don't want it here, away it goes. Hopefully, they'll understand and we'll be able to enjoy it.
