Lassie spent four happy years with Corey, traveling with him from Florida to Washington state, in several instances separated from him but always finding her way back to him. Then Corey was badly burned fighting a forest fire. Rangers Bob Erickson (Jack DeMave) and Scott Turner (Jed Allan) took over her care jointly, calling themselves "Lassie's godfathers." Lassie would usually travel with one of them only, but in several stories they were paired. |
