Cinar's Lassie series ran two seasons. In this Canadian-filmed 1997 series, Lassie was a stray collie taken in by Timmy Cabot (Corey Sevier), son of new Hudson Falls, Vermont, veterinarian, Karen Cabot (Susie Almgren). Timmy buddied around with two friends, Jeff and Natalie, during the course of the series.
Lassie #8, the several times great-grandson of the original dog who played Lassie in the MGM films, starred in only the first year of this series. A non-line dog played in 13 episodes of the second season, with the series completed by Lassie #9. |
